ABOUT OUR FLOWERS
Our seasonal bouquets are lovingly grown, gathered and arranged by hand here at Shepherd & Bloom. Each bouquet is filled with the very best flowers blooming in our garden that week, creating a naturally abundant, garden-inspired arrangement that celebrates the beauty of the changing seasons.
As our flowers are grown from seed and freshly harvested, every bouquet will be slightly different. While the colours, size and overall style will closely reflect the photographs, individual flower varieties may vary depending on seasonal availability. No two bouquets are ever exactly the same, this is part of the charm of locally grown flowers and ensures that every arrangement is beautifully unique.
Colours: A romantic blend of ballet pink, dusty blush and antique nude, complemented by delicate creamy-white flowers and layers of fresh sage, silvery eucalyptus and soft green foliage
FLOWER CARE
FLOWER CARE
Your flowers have been freshly gathered and arranged with care. Follow these simple steps to keep them looking beautiful for as long as possible:
- Choose a clean vase
Wash your vase thoroughly before filling it with fresh, cool water. - Trim the stems
Using clean, sharp scissors, cut approximately 1–2cm from each stem at an angle. - Remove lower leaves
Remove any leaves that sit below the waterline, as these can encourage bacteria. - Refresh regularly
Change the water and rinse the vase every two days. Give the stems another little trim each time. - Keep them cool
Display your flowers away from direct sunlight, radiators, draughts and ripening fruit. - Remove fading flowers
Take out individual blooms as they fade so the remaining flowers can continue to flourish.
As our flowers are naturally and seasonally grown, each variety has its own vase life. Some delicate blooms may fade before others, simply remove these and enjoy watching the rest of your arrangement evolve.

WHY CHOOSE US?
WHY CHOOSE US?
Many supermarket flowers travel thousands of miles before reaching your vase. They may be produced using intensive heating, refrigeration and chemical treatments before passing through a long international supply chain.
At Shepherd & Bloom, our flowers are grown naturally in Kingston, near Lewes, without synthetic pesticides or chemical treatments. They are gathered in season, close to the point of delivery, with no air freight and minimal packaging.
Choosing locally grown flowers means fewer flower miles, greater transparency and support for a small local business. It also allows you to enjoy scented, characterful varieties selected for their natural beauty, not simply their ability to withstand long-distance transportation.
FAQ
FAQ
Will my flowers look exactly like the photograph?
Our flowers change with the seasons, so every arrangement is unique. Your order will follow the selected style and colour palette, but individual varieties may differ.
Can I request particular flowers?
You are welcome to share your preferences, and we will do our best to accommodate them. However, particular varieties cannot be guaranteed.
Can I include a gift message?
Yes. Add your message when ordering, and we will include it on a handwritten card. Otherwise you can choose one of our in-house designed greetings cards from our homeware and gifts section. These will be delivered blank inside unless you choose an option to add a hand-written message. We will happy hand-write this message for you.
Do you offer same-day delivery?
For our Jam Jar posies, we will be out every Friday for deliveries. Same-day delivery cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us before ordering to check availability.
Are your flowers safe for pets?
Some flowers and foliage can be harmful if eaten. Please keep arrangements away from pets and contact us before ordering if you have any particular concerns.
What if I have a flower or pollen allergy?
Please tell us about any known allergies before ordering. As our arrangements contain natural flowers, foliage and pollen, we cannot guarantee that they will be completely allergen-free.
What should I do if there is a problem with my order?
Please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of receiving your flowers, and include a clear photograph. We will always do our best to put things right.
